David Worth

David Worth is employed in the Centre for Higher Education Development, at the University of Cape Town, South Africa.  He trained in Industrial Archaeology at the Ironbridge Institute in England, where he obtained a Masters Degree in 1993; and was awarded a PhD by the University of Cape Town in 2004 for his thesis Gas and Grain: The Conservation of Networked Industrial Landscapes.

David has an interest in conservation  issues, and particularly in the use of Conservation Plans, is the national representative for TICCIH (The International Committee for Conservation of the Industrial Heritage), and is a member of ICOMOS (SA) and the Association of Heritage Assessment Practitioners (Western Cape).
